Our founding board members are Michael Hii, Adrian Fox, and James Ostroburski. Since that time, fellow gastrointestinal surgeons, and other medical professionals, including nurses, allied health professionals and researchers, along with senior Kooyong Group partners, have joined the board to support the work of the Fund.

Our board includes highly trained medical experts in Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepato-Pancreatic Biliary surgery. Our board members hold specialisations in diseases of the oesophagus, stomach and adrenal glands, as well as oesophageal cancer and stomach cancer, liver transplantation, endoscopic surgery, reflux disease, hiatal hernia, diseases of the adrenal glands, and bariatric, liver and pancreatic surgery. While very busy with clinical practice, all also maintain a strong interest in research and play active roles in surgical training and teaching through universities in Melbourne.
